Video Analytics Boosts Security and Efficiency at Cherokee Nation Entertainment Casinos

Can video analytics impact both security and the bottom line at a major entertainment facility? The newest customer story from Agent Vi looks at the video analytics deployment at Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE), where CNE casinos and hotels are utilizing Agent Vi’s advanced video analytics software for surveillance as well as operational efficiencies.

CNE sought to reduce the time it took to review security footage, so their investigative team could remain focused on proactive tasks, and selected savVi, Agent Vi’s on-premise video analytics solution, for its wide range of video analytics capabilities.

Previously, the security team’s time was heavily occupied by observing hours of footage in search of a specific person or incident. Following implementation, Agent Vi enabled CNE to run searches automatically, reducing search time from as much as 16 hours for a single search to a matter of minutes.

The story received exclusive coverage in Security Magazine, quoting Joshua Anderson, CNE Director of Surveillance and Technology as saying, “It was savVi’s swift and effective video search that caught Cherokee Nation Entertainment’s attention when searching for an enhanced security solution, in particular due to the automated query ability. We have been extremely impressed with savVi’s capabilities and the quality of its performance, and fully expect savVi to increase efficiencies and provide true ROI which will have a major impact on the bottom line.”

Intel DevCon 2018: Agent Vi’s AI Capabilities at the Forefront

The 2018 Intel AI DevCon in San Francisco was a two-day developer conference for Intel developers to explore the future of Artificial Intelligence. Standing alongside industry heavyweights at Intel AI DevCon in late May, it was exciting to discover that Agent Vi was first of the IoT partners with an application already fully adapted to Intel’s new OpenVINO, the toolkit that unifies all Intel’s AI offerings.

CTO Zvika Ashani was on hand to demonstrate how OpenVINO was integrated into Agent Vi’s innoVi Edge device – a compact appliance that functions as a cloud gateway connecting any onsite ONVIF / RTSP fixed IP cameras to Agent Vi’s cloud-based video analytics service, innoVi. Moving a portion of innoVi’s deep learning inference tasks from the cloud to innoVi Edge reduces the required bandwidth from the edge to the cloud, and also reduces cloud operating costs.

At the end of June, Agent Vi also participated in the Intel IL DevCon event in Tel Aviv, further reinforcing the cooperation between the two companies. As noted in an analysis about OpenVINO, by Moor Insights & Strategy published in Forbes, “Intel seems to be off to a good start and has already won some impressive early customers [including] Agent Vi.”
